Our Story

• The Basics is an inventive, ingredient-focused nutrition company driven by the philosophy that a few key ingredients go a long way in reaching one’s health goals.
• “My journey with PCOS has been an uphill battle. Dermatologists, Gynaecologists, Endocrinologists and many more other “-ists” became my new bffs.
• To my dismay, more than 70% of them would always give me the most run of the mill solution: the Pill. 
• I began looking for permanent solutions. On this journey of self-healing, I discovered the many benefits of clean nutrition. Changing my nutrition intake changed my health! This prompted me to start the basics – to help young people, just like me, to prioritise their health.”

• Suchita is the Director of Health Total, a 30-year old wellness, and nutrition company with 54 clinics across India, that provides nutritional therapy to manage obesity, PCOS, Type 2 Diabetes, and other lifestyle conditions.
• In addition to her involvement with Health Total, she has also used her business degree and passion for nutrition to kick-start multiple ventures specifically targeting millennials. In early 2019, she launched ‘Detox in a Box’, a 1-month detox that contains specially curated foods to assist with deep level detoxification.
• Through her blog ‘Sucheetah’, which has over 10,000 subscribers, she aims to make nutrition synonymous with necessity, in a relatable and yet impactful manner.
• She is also a spokesperson for PCOS in India and actively engages with over 20,000 young girls battling with PCOS through her online community initiative, ‘PCOS to Health’. She regularly creates unique content to raise awareness and conducts individual consultations for nutrition and diet plans to help manage PCOS symptoms.

Suchita is the daughter of Anjali Mukerji – India’s pioneer in nutrition and a celebrity weight loss dietitian. She grew up in a health conscious family and has always believed in 'food as medicine’.
